Residents in Portsmouth told us that wheelchair services hosted by AJM healthcare were not supporting their needs.
So, we have created a wheelchair user survey to gather feedback from service users, whether they use manual or electric wheelchairs.
By completing this survey, you will play an important role in shaping meaningful improvements to the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight wheelchair service.

What is this survey about
This survey looks at the quality of local wheelchair services Portsmouth provided by AJM Healthcare.
We have applied the Wheelchair Quality Framework, that was developed by the Wheelchair Alliance under the Wheelchair Charter, to design this survey.
Who are participated
The survey feedback will be analysed by Healthwatch Portsmouth and then shared with the commissioners, who have the real power to make changes.
We are working closely with the HIVE Portsmouth led Disability Advisory Group and other wheelchair user representatives to promote this survey.
Why should I do the survey
Please spare around 8 minutes to give your anonymous feedback and experience of your NHS wheelchair or Personal Wheelchair Budget service.
You can help shape the future NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight wheelchair service so that it is better suited to wheelchair users’ needs.
Your voice matters, and this is a powerful way to make sure your experiences are heard and acted upon.
Deadline of the survey
8 May 2026
