The four Healthwatch organisations in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (Hampshire, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight and Southampton) have worked together to understand what local people think about mental health services in the area.

This report is based on feedback collected between July and December 2025. People told us about the problems they face when trying to get mental health support, including long waits for help, difficulties finding the right service, and challenges getting support early enough. They also shared positive experiences and told us how much of a difference kind, caring and supportive staff can make.

By sharing the experiences of patients, carers and family members, we hope this report will help services improve and make it easier for people to get the support they need when they need it.
