Letter of Appreciation
Here is the letter of appreciation that we received from the Portsmouth Inspiring Volunteer Awards team in June 2025.
The Importance of Volunteering
Volunteering plays a crucial role in our community. It fosters connections and strengthens relationships among residents. Volunteers dedicate their time to various causes, making a significant impact on local initiatives.
Community Engagement
Engaging with the community is essential. It helps identify needs and areas for improvement. Volunteers often serve as the bridge between organisations and the public. Their insights are invaluable for shaping services that truly reflect community needs.
Building Skills and Experience
Volunteering also offers individuals the chance to develop new skills. Many volunteers gain experience that can enhance their employability. This personal growth benefits both the individual and the community.
Acknowledging Contributions
Recognising the efforts of volunteers is vital. It boosts morale and encourages continued participation. Awards and letters of appreciation, like those received by our Advisory Board, highlight the importance of these contributions.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the work of Healthwatch Portsmouth and its volunteers is commendable. Their dedication to improving community health services is evident. We look forward to continuing this important work together.
