Have you received or used a Trauma Card or Trauma Keyring? Tell us about your experience

University of Essex and Healthwatch Essex are inviting people to share their experience using or receiving a Trauma Card or a Young Person's Trauma Keyring: Using a Trauma Resource to Support Trauma-Informed Care: Perspectives from Survivors and Healthcare Practitioners
What is a Trauma Card or Young Person's Trauma Keyring?
Trauma cards or Trauma keyrings include information or have QR codes of information, explaining trauma and guidance on how to provide sensitive care.
Patients can show the Trauma Card or the Trauma Keyrings, without needing to speak to the health professionals when needed. This protects them from drawing unwanted attention and triggering emotions.
Trauma cards or Trauma keyrings are offered by some organisations, such as Healthwatch and PTSD UK, working alongside people who might have experienced trauma.
Trauma Card or Trauma Keyrings experience sharing
If you are a health professional who have received a Trauma Card (or Young Person’s Trauma Keyring) from a patient, or if you are a survivor who have used a Trauma Card, researchers from the University of Essex and Healthwatch Essex would like to hear about your experience.
