Queen Alexandra's Emergency Department Walk-through Visit Report
On 14th March 2025, Healthwatch Portsmouth and Healthwatch Hampshire visited the emergency department at Queen Alexandra Hospital. We observed patient experience, reviewed accessibility and communication, and identified practical improvements. After our visit, we have submitted our recommendations to Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (PHUT). PHUT replied with actions taken, work underway, and areas for further review. Portsmouth Community Diagnostic Centre expanded to 7-day, 12-hour service for easier access to vital tests
Since last December, Portsmouth Community Diagnostic Centre has been offering out-of-hours services, 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
