The national Fracture Liaison Service Database has published a video ‘six golden rules’, published in association with the British Geriatrics Society, and coproduced with their patient and carer panel https://www.rcplondon.ac.uk/projects/outputs/six-golden-rules-video-resource
The short video is intended to encourage patients to have follow up conversations with their GP after being recommended to take medication by mouth for osteoporosis.
The Fracture Liaison Service Database hopes that by sharing this information, produced by patients, for patients, it will help inform individuals about bone health and prevent bone fractures, helping to promote patient confidence when approaching doctors to ask for further investigations.
