Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity training dogs to be able to support deaf people in everyday life.

The charity trains dogs to be able to alert their owner to sounds like the doorbell, alarm clock, or danger signals like the fire alarm.

The charity supports people with any degree of hearing loss. If you do not need the support of a fully registered assistance dog, the charity can match you with a 'sound support dog', or a 'companion and confidence dog', which are dogs that achieved some level of training on the programme but did not fully qualify. Contact the charity to discuss your options.
