AFK – Working with disability is a national charity that helps children and young people with physical and learning disabilities find greater levels of independence and opportunity. Their support services are only available in London, but their funding programme for mobility equipment is available nationally.

Our main focus is funding mobility equipment for disabled children and young people up to age 25.

Funding is for children and young people up to their 25th birthday, who need specialist mobility equipment or a wheelchair that is not normally available through the NHS. The child or young person must be resident in the UK.

You can apply for:

  • Powered, manual, off road and sports wheelchairs
  • Specialist mobility equipment such as specialist trikes, scooters, buggies, walkers and car seats

For more information or to apply, visit their website.
