Phased Lifting of Plan B COVID-19 Restrictions, from 20th Jan onwards

Update 25.2.22 From Thursday 24th February the Government removed the legal requirement for a person to self-isolate if you get COVID-19 symptoms.  Local authority Public Health teams are recommending though that if you do develop COVID-19 symptoms to stay at home for 5 days.   The government has announced that the measures put in place under Plan B in England will be lifted. 16 and 17 yr olds can book for or attend walk-in vaccination centre in England to receive their COVID booster jab

Update 17th January 2022 16 and 17-year-olds are now able to book a booster jab or attend a walk-in vaccination centre in England. Invitations will initially be sent to the 40,000 teens who had a second vaccine dose at least three months ago. Eventually more than 600,000 people aged 16 and 17 who have had two doses will be eligible for the booster. And about 500 clinically vulnerable 12 to 15-years-olds who are most at risk from coronavirus will also be able to get a booster.

Reduction in number of days to self-isolate if test negative for COVID-19 on days 5 and 6

The minimum self-isolation period for people testing positive for Covid-19 in England has been cut to 5 full days. The quarantine period has been reduced after a review of the medical evidence*, to help ease staff shortages across the economy. People self-isolating will need to produce negative lateral flow tests on days five and six of their isolation and as long as they do not have a temperature, report their test results to NHS England either using the NHS covid app or phoning 119. QA Hospital Vaccination Hub – changed opening times for 1st, 2nd, Boosters

Update 14.01.22 QA Vaccine Hub at Oasis Centre, QA Hospital, Cosham PO6 3LY Changed opening hours for first, second, booster walk-ins and appointments from 15th January: Vaccination Hub at QA Hospital will be open today (14th Jan) for walk-ins and booked appointments  7.15am - 7pm and then on the following days only: Sat 15 th, Sun 16th, Weds 19th, Thurs 20th, Weds 26th, Thurs 27th  (open 7.15am - 2.45pm )  for first, second, booster walk-ins and appointments (appts already booked for the above dates falling outside of these times will still be honoured)
