Long Covid: Solent MS Centre in Portsmouth helps people with Covid-19 after-effects

When the Solent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Portsmouth was finally able to reopen in March this year its team had no idea they would become a beacon of hope for people dealing with the after-effects of Covid-19. With its pressurised diving chamber, oxygen concentrators and physiotherapy room, the centre in Hilsea has provided therapy for people with MS, cancer and other well-known conditions for 37 years. First drug to fight COVID-19 gets approved

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has today given approval for the first monoclonal antibody treatment for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in the UK. The government’s independent expert scientific advisory body, the MHRA, has approved Ronapreve as the first monoclonal antibody combination product for use in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection for the UK. Spectrum 10K is the largest study of autism in the UK

Spectrum 10K aims to investigate genetic and environmental  factors that contribute to the wellbeing of autistic individuals and their families. Spectrum 10K hopes to find 10,000 autistic people and, where possible, their families to take part in their nationwide survey. WHO CAN JOIN? Autistic people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and intellectual abilities can take part. Participants must live in the UK and have a formal diagnosis of autism.
