Chris has published six collections of poetry and contributed to various anthologies and magazines. He first came to the nation's attention with his twice weekly appearances on two series of ITV's Shift in 1996. A popular performer and workshop leader, he is a regular guest at many major literature festivals, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
