The Challenging Behaviour Foundation is a national charity supporting people, and their families, who have severe learning disabilities and whose behaviour can be challenging.
- Information about behaviours, communication and how to manage as a family carer
- Family Support Service, offering information and details of sources of support for families through confidential 1-1 phone calls.
- Family Carers' Email Network putting you in touch with other families to share your experiences and support eachother - anonymously if you prefer.
- Family Linking Scheme matching you with a volunteer who's been in a similar situation and can provide a listening ear by phone.
You don't need to be referred, but the foundation only supports people who care for someone with a severe or profound learning disability. If you care for someone with a mild or moderate learning disability, you will be directed to other sources of support.
