Haig Housing is a national charity providing accommodation for ex-service personnel.
They have a number of properties in and around Portsmouth. You can browse and apply online on their website.
The properties are a mix of family sized houses, smaller houses, flats and maisonettes. Each estate is managed by a housing manager alongside a grounds maintenance team who ensure the communal areas are kept in a good condition.
Many of the properties are or can be adapted to be accessible for people with disabilities.
People whose disability or illness is a result of Service can access a Shared Leasehold Scheme, which aims to enable you to live in a suitable property in a location close to family and friends.
You can self-refer using the online form on their website or by post. To be considered for housing, you must have a British Armed Forces connection and be in housing need. Please see the full eligibility criteria on their website.
