The Green Island Holiday Trust provides holidays for disabled and disadvantaged people, including respite for their carers.
The holidays are held at Holton Lee, a 350 acre estate in Poole with disabled friendly facilities. A team of volunteers provide personal care, entertainment, cooking, cleaning and arranging activities such as boat trips, bird watching, art & craft, pony and trap riding, music and lots more.
A team of volunteers can provide 24-hour personal care. The venue is fully accessible, including ceiling hoists in two of the bedrooms and two fully accessible wet rooms - one with a ceiling hoist. All-terrain mobility scooters are available to hire.
The holidays are subsidised by the fundraising efforts of the trust. The cost of each holiday is £250 all-inclusive. However, guests need to make their own way to Holton Lee.
Groups or individuals can apply using the booking form on their website.
