Positive Action aim to give all kinds of support to people in Hampshire and the surrounding area living with HIV. They also provide up-to-date information and advice to everyone in the community to help reduce further infection and drive out the discrimination associated with the condition.
The charity have drop-in centres in Aldershot and Southampton, and provide a weekly drop-in service at a community venue in Portsmouth. In order to maintain members' confidentiality the locations are only shared on a need-to-know basis.
The Portsmouth drop-in session is 4pm - 7pm on Tuesdays. At other times meetings can be arranged by appointment.
- Advice and information about HIV, treatment options and other health issues.
- Support for people who are newly diagnosed
- One-to-one support, counselling and coaching
Positive Action do not charge registered members for their services.
HIV+ people and their carers, partners or family members can self-refer by contacting Positive Action directly.
