The Portsmouth Life After Stroke service offers support if you or someone you care about has had a stroke. The service will work with you and the people you care about to identify your needs and plan how these will be met, enabling you to make the best possible recovery.

The service includes:

  • support in a group setting with trained volunteers
  • friendship networks
  • information, advice and practical and emotional support
  • access to support groups
  • help to return to work and assistance with access to local leisure and social activities
  • support for family members and carers.

The service is for stroke survivors, including TIAs/mini-strokes, of any age and their families and carers, living in the Portsmouth area, Waterlooville, Denmead and Purbrook.
