CQC inspectors highlight drive to transform clinical practice by South Central Ambulance Service

England's Chief Inspector of Hospitals has rated South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust as Good following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.  Overall the trust’s emergency operations centre, patient transport and NHS111 service were rated Good – although the emergency and urgent care services were rated Requires Improvement. Walk-in services in Portsmouth have changed

From 1 July, 2016 there have been some important changes to NHS walk-in services in Portsmouth. From that date: The walk-in service at St Mary’s Treatment Centre will be strengthened, with GPs employed to work there for the first time, alongside the existing nursing teams. Walk-in appointments at Guildhall Walk Healthcare Centre will only be available for people who are registered at the centre for their ongoing care – in the past they have been available for anyone.
